About Us

South of the Fontenelle Forest Nature Center and South of Bellevue University, Chef Keen Zheng has spent the last thirteen years learning from New York City's greatest sushi chefs.

He began his training in 2004 at the Michelin-starred eatery Kayonama under Chef Nobuyuki Shikanai and Chef Daigo Yamaguchi. In 2008 Chef Zheng moved to 15 East, a second of only 10 Michelin-starred sushi restaurants in the United States, to be the second sushi chef working alongside renowned Chef Masato shimizu.
He worked next to Chef Masato for five years, practicing the precision and care that it takes to become a great chef. When Chef Daisuke Nakazawa opened his namesake restaurant Sushi Nakazawa in 2013, Chef Zheng leapt at the opportunity to further hone his craft under the head apprentice of Jiro Ono, the Tokyo chef who was featured in the Netflix documentary ‘Jiro Dreams of Sushi,’ and whom many consider the world's greatest sushi chef. Working as Chef Nakazawa’s right hand, the restaurant was given a perfect 4-stars from The New York Times and is consistently rated as one of the top sushi destinations in America.

A favorite spot for Lunch and fresh Sashimi! The Blue Fin Tuna rocks your socks off! The dishes are prepared before your eyes and served with some flare! A must visit restaurant if you’re in the area. I highly recommend it!

This might just be one of the best places in the Omaha area to get sushi. The menu is chalked full of incredible sounding rolls, it’s honestly a little tough to just choose a few. There’s also Asian dishes and more on the menu for those who do not like sushi. The vide inside is nice and chill, the staff are knowledgeable and very helpful. To me, this is worth the drive across town. I’ve been here a handful of times and have yet to be let down.

The hype is real. I was travelling in town and craving sushi, but was a little weary to order it so far away from the ocean. Idk who supplies for these folks, but they managed to make some top-notch sushi in the landlocked Midwest. Would definitely go back next time I’m in town 🔥
